For the last month, I have been tirelessly obsessing, packing, shopping and setting up the new Carrier Pigeon studio and it is finally done! I can’t express how excited I am to be in this space and how anxious I am to get back to work. I loved my last studio I shared with Needle & Black but as the business grows, I needed physical space to do just that. Besides, she was getting sick of listening to my Sade albums.
I have plans to improve the set up I have, as well as purchase some more equipment. I hear you have to spend money to make money but DAMN! I can’t wait to show the space off but in the meantime, get a load of these before and after pictures.
Here’s the old studio…..
Clearly running out of space……
Here’s the new space before I hauled all of my 300 pound tables and equipment down the hall….
And finally, the new studio…all set up!
I am particularly excited about the addition of the reception area and my first piece of art (yet to be hung) from my ever-so-talented bud, Margi Grill.
So, there she is. I love it. The light in this space is perfect for my work and I plan on hunkering down here for as long as I can.
jewelry making satisfies so many of my needs and desires to covet, collect and organize things. small things. i love small things.
whenever i get stuck on a design or become frustrated with a process, i organize. i buy bigger things to organize the smaller things. i make lists. to do lists, lists of tools i want. i have soooo many lists.
i am ALWAYS KNOLLING. here, Tom Sachs has it pretty much figured out. although, he did forget the bullet on how to be groovy.
