Please allow up to 2 weeks to process and ship your order. Items that are currently in stock ship immediately. Items ship USPS Priority Mail. Please contact me directly with any special shipping requests. Items that are made to order and NOT in stock, will be specified as such in the shop description along with an estimated time of arrival.

Jewelry Care – How do I take care of my Carrier Pigeon Jewelry? || back to top
Each piece of Carrier Pigeon Jewelry is handcrafted, with great care, by yours truly. Therefore, I would advise you to take great care of your piece by following my advice.
Carrier Pigeon Jewelry uses sterling silver, oxidized silver, gold vermeil and sometimes brass and copper. Each of these metals requires individualized care. No matter what the piece, it is always recommended to remove your jewelry before showering, sleeping or engaging in any strenuous activity. Put it in a safe place…love it. Please read on for some tips and when in doubt, just send me a message.
My silver jewelry is not as shiny as it used to be. What’s up with that? || back to top
Real silver will tarnish over time, no matter what. Sometimes it looks cool and sometimes it doesn’t. Purchasing a polishing cloth is a cheap and simple solution for keeping your shiny silver shiny. You can also contact me directly and for a small fee, I will polish your piece for you! If you have a matte finish on your silver and you’d like to freshen it up, take the green, rough side of a scotchbrite sponge and gently (while dry) rub it over your piece.
Will my blackened silver or oxidized piece stay black/oxidized? || back to top
Each piece of oxidized and blackened silver jewelry is treated individually by hand and therefore will have it’s own unique finish. The blackened/oxidized look will fade/rub off slightly over time BUT this can be significantly decreased if you avoid contact with water, chemicals and strenuous activity while wearing the piece.
Returns and Refunds – What is your return/exchange policy? || back to top
Items can be returned ONLY for store credit. The jewelry must be returned within 30 days of purchase and in new condition. Shipping charges apply.
Do you do repairs? || back to top
I will repair your Carrier Pigeon Jewelry, free of charge for up to one year after purchase. You will need to provide proof of purchase and pay to ship the piece to me in a padded mailer. Please contact me directly for mailing instructions.
My chain broke. Can you replace it? || back to top
That depends. Did it break while you were wearing your necklace scuba diving in a cenote in Mexico? Or did it just wear out because you’ve been wearing your matchstick necklace every day for 3 years? I use a combination of stock chains and chains that I have assembled and soldered myself. Depending on the individual situation, your chain can be fixed free of charge or replaced/re-ordered for a fee. Just send me a message explaining your situation.
I lost my earring/pendant/whathaveyou. Can I just buy the ____ without the ____? || back to top

Green Practices – Is your jewelry “green”? || back to top
I do everything in my power to minimize my carbon footprint…both personally and professionally. Whenever possible, I use natural/non-chemical solutions in my studio. I use local, recycled silver. The jewelry you purchase will arrive in a recycled paper gift box. Most importantly, all Carrier Pigeon Jewelry is handmade to last in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
